My JCW MINI makeover
Hey Guys, Thought I'd share a few pics of my 06 JCW competition edition Mini makeover, I just recently changed my wheels from 18" Sportmax 502's to a new set of 17" JCW Challenge R112's. Also changed my stripes as the originals were looking pretty nasty and had started to peel. Anyway here's some before and after with a link to a slideshow. More pics in my gallery, let me know what you think! I'm lovin the change

I like those, pricey, waiting for some used ones. I thought that the carpets were rubber like these:

Thanks, yeah I loved those wheels, but I really wanted to go as much JCW factory as possible and was considering the 18" R109's which look similar to my aftermarket ones or should I say my 18" were similar to the R109's which I wanted originally when I got the car. In the end I finally had to admit to my self I'm just getting older
and the more rubber on the 17's became more and more appealing
. Yeah the stripes for this style of car are a no brainer, but waaay harder to install than the newer model Mini. The New Mini hood ends before the wiper arms, with this Gen you have to stripe through the wiper arm! and the rear JCW skirt around the exhaust

I LOve the after too
I love those jcw wheels. One of the best features of the new jcw's are those wheels.
Question: Did you have to get longer wheel bolts to bolt those wheels on your R53 ? Or did they bolt right onto your stock wheel bolts ???

Thanks! I think so too. No longer studs required they bolt right up, my Mini is a 1st Gen ( 08/06), but with the wider 2nd Gen studs as far as I know the studs aren't any longer. I also have a winter set of R98 webspokes from an old 1st Gen that also accept the wider studs.
