JCW How much for JCW Stage 1 install - $4200?
Wow, I'm surprised at some of the prices for kits and installs.
Granted, I got a super deal on my parts. (personal favor for $1430 bucks).
I was charged 3 hours labor. The dealer that did it has a normal labor rate of 130/hr but discounted that also.
I can't imagine anyone charging more than 300-350 bucks for install. Anything more than that is a rip-off.
Good luck, you should be in the range of what everyone's paying....

Thanks to everyone who responded. I'm not getting the absolute lowest price but I feel I'm getting a fair value, which is all I had asked for.
My parts are on the way from Morristown and will be installed at Woodlands. My 07 will be paid off in 18 months. I made a deal with my son, he's 18 and wants my MINI badly, that when he finishes the first two years of college and begins his upperclass work for a degree, he can have the MINI to use. When he graduates I'll sign the title over to him. In the meantime I plan on adding a few suspension upgrades: coilovers, sway bar, rods/links, and a BBK when my pads and rotors wear out.
I've already picked out my next vehicle: '95-'97 Porsche 911. The MINI is great, but now I'm addicted - I gotta' have more...

Momentum MINI charged me 2 hours install for the stage 1 kit (that I bought from Morristown and shipped to them) about a year ago. Lee Carter was the MA (I think he moved to work in their finance department though)
Most dealers that I spoke to keep quoting the the price for the original R53 Stage One Kit, which included a lot more parts.
If you show them the official install guide and tell them that the price they are quoting is for the old kit, they will usually figure it out.
My dealer is full of a bunch of idiots, so I had them look up my buddy's car and then they saw that the install was two hours at $115/per hour my install was $230.00 +tax. Of course, it didn't take two hours. They had my car for a day and a half because the computer wouldn't take the program, but they still only charge two hours.

Going to another stealership can be annoying & quite inconvenient, but in this instance it's a mandate.
How did you do that? Where are you located?
