My JCW from factory or not?

So, I still am confused. The PO led me to believe my 05 Cooper S was ORDERED with the JCW package engine/exhaust/intake, however, I also read somewhere that this was not possible. I'm confused. I wish I had the window sticker, but do not. Thoughts/Input?

It may have been ordered (from the dealer) with the JCW parts, but it wasn't factory installed. It must have been installed at the dealer prior to delivery. That's how I ordered my 2005 (I also had them install the JCW brakes & JCW suspension before delivery).

For 1st Gen MINIs, the JCW package was only available from the factory for the 2006 model year, and it also came with the JCW brakes as standard. For the same reason, any 2006 JCW you find that doesn't have the brake kit is also a dealer-install.

Not that it really matters... for the purposes of the warranty, maintainence and other dealer support, having the JCW tuning kit installed at the dealership is exactly the same as having it factory installed.

OK, He must have had them installed prior to delivery. It seemed as though he drove it home from the dealership with the JCW kit on from the way he talked (I don't think he was trying to mislead me in any way).
