JCW CAI

I just bought a JCW CAI yesterday for my 2004 MCS , and what i am wondering is :

Can this be installed with out a ecu upgrade . When i had my BMW M3 i put a dinian air box in and the deal also upgraded the ecu at the same time.

I plan on installing this my self but wanted to make sure i didnt need a computer upgrade to benefit from the air box?

Thanks ahead of time

Yes you can install it without doing the JCW flash.

You can also remove the flap in the intake to give yourself a little more sound below 4500RPM. It's just a couple phillips screws to do it, then you don't have to hook up any of the wiring, or vacuum line.
