JCW GarageInterested in John Cooper Works (JCW) parts for your 2nd Generation MINI? This is where JCW upgrades and accessories for the MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S (R56), and Cabrio (R57) MINIs are discussed.
You'd have to spend a whole lot more than $7,350, which is the difference between an S and a JCW, to get those kinds of upgrades. Especially the internals like turbo, pistons, tranny and clutch. And that's without even mentioning the brakes and wheels. People have been complaining about the price but honestly, when you really look at what you get I think it's pretty damn decent value for money.
Do you have to buy the entire JCW kit or Could I get just the Front and sides or just the rear etc? I want the front on my Mellow Yellow, its makes the car soo much meaner looking.
My car is getting the JCW aero from the VDC when it arrives before it gets to my dealer. Now, they wont paint anything else except the kit and install it.I wont even get OEM parts back.
I was looking into painting the arches and the lip line of the aero kit... is that plastic piece a separate peice that I can take off? I wonder if it is easier to give it to a body shop for them to do everything vs having VDC do just the factory things...
More i look at painted arches and all the lines... car looks totally different..
I got Pete at Minspeed to do my arches and plastic trim. He sends you all the painted pieces, you take off the corresponding plastic pieces and mail them back to him. $850 for everything and totally satisfied, the paint is a perfect match which is saying something with a metallic.
Any carbon fiber lovers in here but don't want to pay $700 for the JCW CF diffuser???
Don't fret because I know a guy that will take care of all of us! Check out this piece he's working on for me for easily under $180 which includes shipping back to me. It's not finished yet because he still has to paint the outside clips black and then hit it with a wet sand and polish again. For now, here's a teaser pic...
