JCW Show us your JCW body kit

No offense Red Bull but where are you getting it painted for 300 bucks, Maaco?
I painted my own kit and even with the discount we get (I own two bodyshops and buy $3000 per week in paint materials), it cost me almost 400 JUST IN MATERIALS.
I would think depending on the shop you take it to, you'll have between 800-1200 in getting the entire kit painted.

Hey there Mark, ease up on us a bit. While some Maaco centers are run poorly, don't paint all of us with the same broad brush (pun intended). My center is one of the top performing centers in the chain with several DRP's, a GEICO drive and several national accounts. We do about 35 cars a week and use Duponts Chroma base on all late model repairs. Not to mention we write more estimates than any other center in the chain, usually over 100 a week. We do offer some inexpensive paint services as well as late model collision repair. We do a fair amount of ground effects and Corvettes too. And no, I don't do ground effects for 300 bucks either. And 3 grand a week for two shops, I'd love to be that efficient. I spend that each week, and I get a heck of a deal from our home office! Here's a link to shops gallery:

Unfortunately, pics of my MCS when a Charlotte hit and run driver hit it!
BTW, where are you at in Charlotte, my kid is in school at Johnson & Wales down there in his MINI. I'd be glad to stop by and say hi next time I'm down there and check out your locations.

Dale,
No disrespect meant. I was using a general referall to the old 299 paint jobs. Even if not, you can't compare a Maaco to an independent shop, we're simply not a production shop. Quality is what we do.... definitely not a Maaco trait.
I ran a Maaco for 4 years. The owner tried to get me to buy it before I moved from OH to NC. I wish I had, I guess that's why he's a multi-millionaire and I'm not.
Our paintjobs start off at 4500 bucks and go to 13000 but then again, we're not a production shop. I am not a DRP for any insurance company, I refuse to be dictated to by insurance companies like Geico or Allstate.
Both of my shops are word of mouth and referalls only. We're not even in the phonebooks.
One of my shops is in Indian Trail (Collision Specialties, Inc) and the other shop is a custom and restoration shop in Monroe, NC. (Monroe Collision Center, Inc)

No I'd ditch my car for a factory JCW any day of the week. Although if those brakes are really only $2k I could probably just convert mine into one fairly easily.

Your mini looks fantastic, looks like all you've got left is get some beltline blackout tape and door handles and your done.
I wish I could have done mine in black but laser blue just doesn't look right with all the chrome blacked out.
I'm thinking one more thing.... the Joey mod would look good on your car. (headlights)
BTW, what did you end up lowering the car with? Coilovers/springs? Which ones? How's it ride? Looks perfect.
