R56 JCW Mirrors installed.

Here is my latest exterior mod. I got some JCW mirrors today. I am happy with the results.

Looks great with the color combo, are you doing the hood scoop and that piece above the licence plate too How about the door handles, are those available as well

I am thinking about it. I am not sure........One of the reasons I got Silver on Silver is that I wanted a "basic" clean look. I would really like to put the hood scoop on and see if I like it but I am unwilling to spend close to $300 just to try it. The rear piece I think would look good. They do currently have those available. Any photoshop people out there? Attached is a front pic.

Then again I could go with the carbon fiber and silver theme. Go with a carbon fiber front lip spoiler too.

Carbon fiber = purdy! Love the center caps too, by the way.

I was never a big fan of the JCW hood scoop but you should definitely consider blacking out the chrome grill surround and dropping the car a bit. There was a previous thread wherein someone was advertising CF door pulls but they cost an arm and a leg and the install on the R56 is supposed to be fairly involved.

Looks great & still nice and clean...I gather yours are not the folding ones, "cose there is a back order of over 1000 CF and chrome mirrow caps from MINI for the folding motorized mirrows,
The CF JCW caps came missing a bottom clip, so they go in but at the least rub against anything they pop out. I had to return mine :-(

carbontech makes the carbon fiber for JCW as well as some pieces for my Ducati and the design and fit its flawless.

I'm a Photoshop people.

It's a bit crude, but then you didn't pay much for it.

You could do me a favor. I'm also getting a Pure Siver MCS and want to play with some ideas for racing stripes. Could you shoot a picture like this, but more looking down on it. I want to see more of the top of the bonnet and roof.

I agree with dropping it. I ordered springs a month ago from FMW in Germany thinking I'd have them before everyone else here. I was wrong..... I am still anxiously waiting for them. I am pulling what little hair I have left out. I wanted them before I go to Bimmer Fest this weekend:impatient

How much were those CF mirrors? And did I read above in this thread that there may be a CF cap that can be put over the OEM mirrors as a much cheaper option (backordered)?

There are a few places that have them. I paid a little over $250 for them. I have seen the caps, IMO they look cheap. For the mirrors you get what you pay for. I think $250 is a lot for side view mirrors, but I really think they look great.

Ummm what you mean the caps? did you get the whole assembly ? because those look like the JCW caps which are made by carbontech in austria and they cost $110 per unit from the dealer.

I was told the whole batch for the folding mirrows was faulty as one of the clips from the bottom was not correct and they pop-out. Have you had any problems or you mirrows are standard fixed ones?

again the look great!

No no, They are caps that replace the current ones. They also make caps that go over the current caps. Those look cheap to me. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, please post pix of those. I've never seen pix of the hood scoop or the tail gate part. But nobody has the spoiler that I've seen.
Edit: My MA in Scottsdale quoted me $384 for the JCW CF mirrors installed. That sounds high to me. Tell me how much you paid for your JCW stuff if you don't mind. Thanks.
