3 mods in 2 weekends yay!

mmm last 2 weekends have been nothing but adding stuff to my car. granted, not "big" mods really, but still exciting! i hadn't done anything to my car since i got it a year and a half ago til now. enjoy! (no pictures of the OEM ipod adapter install... -_-)

anyone have any suggestions on what else i could use to hold the grill in, since Velcro might not hold up so well at higher speeds?

You could try a hot glue gun on the tabs from the back. That should lock it in position.

Go to PepBoys and get plastic cement

Hey Candiecat,
I wouldn't go with hot glue as it probably wouldn't last too long. Doesn't really bond too well. Go down to Pep Boys and get some plastic cement.

It comes in a small tube, looks like a roll of nickels!

There are all kinds of brands but just get one that works for abs plastics. The cement is actually just a doughy compond that you cut little pieces off of and mix together with your hand. Think of it as playdoh. Hahahaha.

I just used a few pieces around the corners and it's worked like a charm.

One thing to note! BE CAREFUL! Don't have it squish out the sides or show through the grill. It expands as you press down so you don't have to use a lot. Just tape the grill on and leave it over night. It will be permanently bonded by the morning.

I used this method to attatch my lower grill and it hasn't come off yet. I've had it for about a year. Just use it sparingly!

Plastic cement huh? I'll keep that in mind! The selection of glues at home depot gets confusing and i tend to buy into the adverstising.

yeah i know, it's SO HARD!!! i keep thinking of what i want to buy but... MUST.... RESIST!!!!

Hahahahaha...yeah me too. That's why I stick to going to the autoparts places for adhesive stuff. Too much to choose from at Home Depot.
