Stupid parking lights!

I've been pulling and prying and twisting for almost an hour now, and this stupid parking light assembly WILL NOT COME OUT. Even with plyers! The one on the passenger side I twisted out with my hands without a problem, but on the drivers side it feels like it's glued in! Now I think i'm going to have to go to the dealer and buy a new assembly cause it's so mangled from trying to get it out. I wonder if they'll pull it out for me .

Kick the tire, go inside, have a slow drink. When you come back out, it will be hanging down.

Make sure you are twisting in the same direction as the other one...and it might be tight, but you can do it. Mine felt like it might break, but when I decided that it was ok to break, I used enough force and it came loose.

The one on the passenger side turned towards the drivers side, i've been trying to turn the one on the drivers side the same direction (towards the passenger side) should I be turning it towards the drivers side? I tried for a few minutes but didn't seem to be getting anywhere with it...

Finally got the sucker out... god, they REALLY don't want the parking lights to fall out . Had to go buy a new fixture from MINI cause the old one was so mangled.

Ouch! Was it that you were trying to twist the wrong way, or were yours just REALLY snug? I had to curse at mine for quite a while before they finally relented... DAMN my too-large hands!

Yes, you were twisting in the wrong direction (both should be counterclockwise when viewed from the connector side, I think what you describe as towards drivers side). It also helps if first you take off the turn signal bulb holders to make more room. Those also turn counterclockwise to come off.
