I can not justify the $3k on the body kit but most if not all of there other products, I can say personally say are worth the extra.
Have you talked to estrictlyforeign? They have great customer service too.....great guys and great service

And someone asked what size wheels are on the red car....

"rear wheels 18x10 255/35/18, front 18x9 225/40/18. "

I still would love to have Palo Uber show their great customer service and just post an answer to my questions. A: What is the difference between your kit and the konigseder kit (if any), and B: Is that REALLY your exhaust pictured?

They would have to pay me $6,897 to put that rice on my car.

Someone should inform the owner that the car is FWD. Also, a tutorial on scrub radius might be in order.

Staggered wheels arent about handling....its about looks. A whole off topic discussion waiting to happen...but basically, its not a race car...get over it.

Also no need for the sense of sarcasm in your original post. No one is getting defensive, simply replying to a post with a similar attitude.

BTW, such wide tires is bitchin' for sure, but that body kit is disgusting. You'd have to pay me a lot of money to drive that MINI around lol...

As far as markup, on certain items with the "NAM Discount" prices aren't that overmarked and could be worth it to some to pay the extra for the added customer service and the Palo Uber decals. But yea, on this kit, $3,000 is way too much markup, maybe $500-800 but $3000 no way...

Does anyone know which wheel manufacturer sells a 18x10 wheel with a 4x100 bolt pattern or a 19x10 wheel? Thanks

With regard to my original post, I wasn't aware of the general sarcasm ban--particularly for sarcasm that was not directed at another member but rather at a thing.

You might have wanted to check with that person who got defensive before speaking for him/her.

The PU kit is hideous and overpriced, but here is no need to cry.

this thread is funny, i will admit i had bought some stuff from pu and had warned nam members about the stuff i got from them, after getting ripped off i posted some of the places where they got their wheels and other stuff from, only to get a call from them and get a warning, like i cared, next thing you know they are board sponsors, haven't been here for a while but i guess I don't even have to go to the trouble of warning people, it's too obvious now, nam should ban these guys for ripping off honest communities as this.

I agree with you there, but that's not what you were talking about was it. I'm just sick of people hating on big wheels, wide wheels, staggered wheels. It's annoying, half the **** people on this forum do to their cars is downright ugly anyways, so they can't talk...

With arches like that, one would probably have the room for bolt-on lug converters. In those blurry pics I can't even see the lugs.

Can you please start a new thread and give some more details about this "call and warning" you received from PU? That sounds quite interesting and the general (MINI) community should know about this, regardless of what the fanboys think or have to say about it.

So PU (a vendor) was trying to use intimidation, strongarming or scare tactics on you (a consumer) because you were trying to warn other consumers about there shoddy or slight-of-hand techniques, sales pitches and products?

Thanks.

I know how to read, that's the post I was talking about... Don't get "smart" with me unless you actually know what you are talking about.

Palo Uber's MINI parts along with his "art" is a joke.

Are there documented cases of problems with this vendor? I have heard nothing about it until now.

Original post which led RallyMINI to "get defensive." And I'm not giving orders although yes, it did come out that way. But, there's just no need to be a deusche bag on message boards.

And no, theres no documented cases of problems with this vendor other than the fact that they rebadge products and call them their own innovative MINI products. One thing is marking up a product and simply rebadging it (M7 did it with their exhaust, which they no longer carry. Everyone still loves them), but its another to call it your own design.

Feel free to change your story to fit your position so that you can be right.

It's OK because I would not follow your orders anyway.

And yet you persist.

Ah, so they take credit for engineering done by others. This is probably done more than we realize.

Some people seem to get enamored with some of these vendors and will defend them religiously in the hope of fostering some sort of friendship status. One misunderstood comment and you're on the wrong end of a vendor-sponsored jihad.

People, people! can we quit bashing on each other and get back to bashing on Palo Goober?
This was fun until egos got involved.

Working together with an Exhaust Mfg to help design and market a product is a far cry from rebadging. Did we make it in the garage with our own two hands ? NO . But did we take something that was already ready to go and just add our name ? that is also a NO.

Not to mention that M7 marketed the Powertone exhaust at a competitive price. Infact, I bought mine from m7 for much less than Powertone now charges. M7 also makes no attempt to decieve its customers on who makes their parts. PU blatantly rips off other designs, sells them as their own product and marks them up to astronomical ptices.

Hideous body kit aside, I was inquiring about PU rather that bashing the company. I have never purchased any of their products, so I don't have any experience with them.
