I can't believe I didn't see this mod earlier! Bought all the parts 'batrugger' and 'thanosman' recommended. Although I did not do the install, the mech said he was surprised how snug and tight everything fits. Looks great!

Doesn't look like you had to cut off the piece that batrugger did - can you confirm?

Yes, you have to cut away a little section on each, but if you take your time and measure, you can make it look factory clean.

Here's the cutaway pieces from the installation.

Is the install and parts to be modified different for the cabriolet ?? isnt there additional under body bracing on the cab ?

Any idea on time taken to perform the necessary modifications and then to install ?

I have no idea about the cabrio. Took 4-5 hours, but he did it right. I'm sure it can done in less time, but I wanted it done right.

Not to mention: this was my mech first time doing a retro fit.

Yeah. They would fit. No doubt about it. But what exactly are you trying to do? What do you want to accomplish by doing that?

Does anyone happen to have the GP parts number for the under panels?

Thinking about this mod too. The price is right, and it looks cool, but how much practical change will this mod do? 80 mph on the highway, what will i feel if anything?

better aero/gas mileage?

better downforce?

you might see some better gas mileage (due to the smooth less turbulent underside) better downforce? unlikely

I currently have my panels off and I notice the car does not accelerate as fast over 100 MPH. It seems to have a little more trouble getting to 140 than it does with the panels on.
I do not pay close enough attention to gas mileage to notice any difference.

Holy thread revival. In any case, maybe someone knows if I would need the GP side skirts to mount the underbody panels? Or can I just mount them with the regular side skirts?

I installed the panels last month and they worked with the aero-kit side skirts no problem.
