Interior/Exterior Blinking Red LED
In my experience, alarms with sirens are worse than useless, they are a PITA. If I were going to install an alarm (and not the factory one), I would have it activate a white strobe light mounted inside the car. The light won't bother the neighbors, but it will nearly blind anyone inside.
Adding a cheap alarm wouldn't be all that hard, especially with the S (battery in the boot). The last one I used was triggered by the interior lights, and allowed thirty seconds to activate the ignition. Adding a motion detector to that is not hard.

True, scoopers, but then I wouldn't have that nifty red blinking light
I actu~~~y know (and the dealer confirmed) that the imobiliser that comes stock w/ the car is re~~~y good but I just love that goofy little light at the end of the stalk.
