Interior/Exterior Rear Diffuser?
Hmm.... This thread is making me get creative... I'm looking into fabbing up a set of CF diffusers like the ones in this picture for the r53...

What kind of interest would there be for a kit like this? And at what price do you think it would be popular?

There is also an on going diffuser thread over at M|U which shows a lot of interest if you want to ask over there too.
I have to ask. Where does one learn to lay CF? I've always wanted to learn.
I'm on the Solar Car team with the Univeristy of Michigan... Its something you pick up, as the entire car is made of CF.... I doubt I'm skilled enough to do this though... Depending on the results, I might just hire it out....
Count me in as interested.
OK. I'm still in the design process. I'm also probably going to integrate some form of underbody panels to smooth the airflow before flowing through the diffuser. Another thing I will have to do is replace my m7 exhaust with a custom straight back system to allow for the right shape on the diffusers... I'm going to build this system to actually provide effective downforce, not for looks like most of those systems do...

Ya, it's gona fit the standard bumper... And you will have to cut it. I'm going to try and integrate the stock vent openings into the design as well...

The challenge with the R 53 is going to be the exhaust cans. You'll certainly need a straight exhaust, with a single can that is in-line with the pipe.
That is if you want to build a true diffuser.
That said, in most cases, you'll not go fast enough to really warrant it.
Mostly for bling. (Not that there's anything wrong with that. ) Lord knows I do the bling thing. I wouldn't have the M7 splitter otherwise. Rarely do I go fast enough for it to matter.
