Downtubes

HELP! I bought a set of downtubes for my 2002, but they are made for a 2006. Can i get these to fit? Maybe if I shave the lip off of them?

Since no one seams to have an answer and I cant find anything about it. Looks like im forced to sell them. Check out the MarketPlace if you wanna buy them. $45 plus shipping.

Are they the exact same except for the lip at the bottom? I haven't seen an '06 downtube in person. So it doesn't look like you can shave it down to make it fit? You could be the first to do it!

I have 2006 downtubes on my 2002 and they fit without any modifications. They are a bit challenging to install but they fit without any issues.

I just followed the removal instructions at the link below. I did the passenger side first and just wiggled them up and then repeated on the driver side. The driver side was a ***** for some reason.

My driver side was worn and the previous owner had a drink holder that left some scratches plus I like the look of the Antracite color on the downtubes. I also just ordered the Antracite rings for the shifter, ashtray and drink holder so they will all match.
