Debadging
Has anyone taken the MINI badge off of the bonnet? I'm having the bonnet repainted after being hit, and I don't think that you need to see the MINI logo there to know it's a MINI.
What do you think? Anyone have any pics of a debadged MINIs?

My Cooper S logo is gone but the Wings remain as they are held in by tabs and 2 holes in the bonnet however if they fill the holes before paint I think it would look nice and smooth....maybe someday.....

I have dewinged a car. I did it for a customer and I thought it looked really good. next time I paint parts on the hood or bonnet, I'll also be doing it. I think more people would be doing it, but it leave holes to fill. but since your doing some work on there already, it will be any easy fix. good luck and post photos when you get it done.

Dont forget to take the Cooper (and S if you have it) off the back too!!
(makes for a nice clean symmetrical look!)

After looking at these pics, the surface looks "cleaner" with out the logo. I won't remove mine, but if I ever had to do body work on the bonnet or so as a result of an accident or something, I might suggest to keep the "wings" off.

Will you cover the cost of getting it shaved off my car and the two holes filled and painted? You can have the badge for FREE!!!
Had to try.

The rear MINI wings have locating "pins" just like the front, so you would need body work/paint after shaving.

The proper way would be to have the holes welded up. The cheap way would be to use body filler to fill in the holes. Then you need to find someone who can blend paint to keep from having to repaint the bonnet and or boot.

I was not too far after you Samtrak. I think I had people covered in the cut a big fat hole in the hood department also.

Looks really clean. I wonder how much a bodyshop would charge for this kind of work.

Depending on the color of the car, I bet we could get it done for you for under $200.

I started to de-badge the boot. Broke the E.
The
best way is to weld, then putty?
