Fill holes with a piece of metal welded in. it should be near perfect before you have to put any filler on the car.

Chad,

if you need the hood wings and can wait until after christmas I can give you mine. I haven't taken it off yet but will be happy to know that it has no holes behind it. the reason I say after xmas is that I do not have the car and wont get it back until then (it is a test model for many new goodies that may or may not come to market....)

Hell, I can probably give you the front one after a few months b/c I plan to have that done when I shave the handles and smooth her out in other ways.

thanks Chris. i would only need the back one as it is larger and looks better on the Van! we turned the new DT work van into an awesome counterfeit! you will see it at the dragon this year. but just so you know, there will be holes under it where the tabs line up into. i cut the tabs off and add new double sided tape and stick them on.

fill me in on the great new items!

Debadge How-To

For those that have removed the rear CooperS or Cooper badges, how did you do it? What tool did you use?
Did the badge leave a mark?

Thanks.

I used dental floss. One strip for each of the letters.

I had mine removed the holes welded shut and panel's repainted. I prefer the look but its not worth the hassle unless you're having the panels painted for some other reason.

I took the rear cooper S off a long time ago. I like the wings so they will stay. I never understood why manufactures feel the need to badge. My wife drives a Ford Explorer Limited Edition AWD V8. All that cra& was on the back of her car. I took it all off alone with two more Explorer badges on the sides. It was like we were sponsored by Ford.

getting an old credit card or a gift card that has no money on it does the trick...i took my emblems off to have them vinyl wrapped and took the COOPER emblem off to paint it black...the COOPER had no holes only double sided tape...the emblems on the other hand leave 2 holes each

you cant just fill the holes with body filler, itll eventually crack or fall out altogether.

My shop can do it. We do full paint and body work. We fixed MLWagner's PW Cooper when she had a run-in with a large tool in her garage if you need a NAM reference, lol.

you need to weld the holes, but be very careful, the metal is THIN!!!! to much voltage on the welder and you get a bigger hole!
