I have the reverse of what you do - black w/ white pinstripes. I can do them custom like you did - I never even thought about doing it that way. I was wary of the longevity of the "Autozone" stuff, but it sounds like it's held up well for you. Good to know!

I wish the OEM ones went all the way to the grille as well... Did you just cut it with an Exacto after application? if so, how did you get a smooth line? Did you cut it a bit long and then ended up pressing the extra material into the seam?

Mine are a bit stained now after 3 years....but if i wanted to keep them....i still have my leftovers and could re-do them for free . That's also 3 years of never being in a garage....all outside parking. So i certainly have no complaints....espcially for 7 dollars

I left a little extra and wrapped it into the seam ....I did the same thing up at the other end of the hood and wrapped it under the hood.

Here's a close up of where it meets the grill pushed into the seam. I like the clean look it gives

I hear about the staining issues on white OEM stripes too... If I did white, I'd want extra material for sure. People also use Soft Scrub w/ bleach on them sometimes as well (shudder).

Where did you get the lower chrome surround?

Here is a better shot of it. It is flexible chrome trim available at most automotive stores in varying widths, I think I used 1/8" width. Just take of the lower grille, clean really well with soap and water, then clean the edge with alchohol so it sticks, carefully apply and trim edges so they sit flush.

Okay, it's a sunny, beautiful day. So here's a couple of shots of Dr. Evil's new bonnet stripes that weren't taken in the rain (like the ones I posted last week).

Those pinstripes are 5/16" inch, nearly twice as wide as OEM pins and about 1/16" wider than Aesthetic Creations usual width for pinstripes. I made them wider to bring out the red and make the mirrors "pop" a bit more.

I helped lsnover apply his new stripes to OB (Orange Bullet) the other day. He has more to sprinkle around down the sides and on the mirrors. These are 3M reflective black. I really like how these reflect white at night.

Anyone have these stripes on an Indi Blue Cooper?

Viper stripes seen here:

http://www.mightystripes.com/Stripes.htm

or the Shelby stripes seen here:

http://www.aestheticreations.net/bonnetstripes2.htm

They are pretty similar, two fat stripes w/ pin stripes. Im thinking white on my Indi......

Anyone have pics?

That angle is a little low to be showing off the stripes, Zip. But from what I can see, I like... what took you so long ?!

I can't even see them at all from that angle, Ken.

Go take another and don't come back here until you have a good pic of those boot stripes !!

You're right. That's the pic that's gonna be chopped into my sig. Here's a better angle:

I'm kind of a procrastinator. I've had the stripes about half a year.

Zip

My stripes are on their way - somewhere around NC if you can believe the tracking website of the carrier...

I hope to do the bonnet next weekend, and will take before and after shots.

I also ordered some side stripes that I am really uncertain about. Those will get taped in place and may stay that way all day as I keep walking around the car trying to make sure they look right!

I haven't seen a lot of BRGs with stripes. I have a BRG/BRG and am looking for ideas. I wish to go stylish over rally. If anybody has some pics/ideas I would be grateful.

On your BRG/BRG Cooper, I would go with Black stripes with White pinstripe edges. I think it would look great in either the tradional style bonnet stripes or a variation of the viper stripes. I would do matching boot stripes but I would not do the roof.
