Does anyone have the OEM white sport stripes on a black S? I'm probably going to do that tomorrow, but I'm wary for some reason...

Here's the mock up of what I'm getting on Thursday! Decided against OEM sport stripes.

It may not look like much now, but I'm excited :D

I basically took viper stripes and took the pinstripes off of the inside.

 

Nice looking MINI. where did you find the CF headlight rings?

I was wondering because Aesthetic Creations will be offering those and other CF parts with in the next couple months. Headlight rings, Door handles,Gas caps and for the R56 side markers.

They look great -- and from the pics, it looks like a very nice install . . . I like that you took them right up to the grill.

 

I just went to the local Fast Signs. I went to two of them, but they're franchised, so one did a better job than the other mocking it up, finding out what I wanted, letting me pick out the color, etc.

It was a GREAT install. And only $70 for vinyl and install!

Thinking about getting matching boot stripes... Hmmmm...

 

I need some help picking some stripes...

My wife wants white, and I was thinking black, since the mirrrors are black too. The roof is IB, so I guess we could go either way.

 

White would pop more, maybe white with red pins.

 

I was thinking about the viper stripes (to fat stripes with thin on side) in white down the center, but I dont know if that really fits my chrome MC style... its more of a MCS look.

I guess I want a more "classic" look, since the MC w/ chrome has a nostalgic feel already. I dunno.. maybe just the basic bonnet stripes in white w/ black pins.

I like this stripe, it feels like it matches better, but its not exactly what I want. Im getting the chrome driving lights eventually, so this is a good comparison.

 

That stripe with the driving lights is a classic look, I like it

I am all about custom, though I love the factory white bonnet stripes with black piping on the IB.

 

How about a drivers side strip like this one.

 

Yeah, I liked it at first, but I’m to symmetrical.. I guess I was wondering about color the most. Will white stripes look good on an IB w/ IB roof, black mirrors?

Most IB w/ white stripes have white roofs, so its hard to picture.

 

I understand what you are saying, it probably wouldn't look right. I have a dark silver S with black vipers, and did it that way so it would tie into the roof. Actually the black probably would look good, it would be kind of subtle against the IB paint.

 

yeah, I like the viper a lot. My wife is dead set on white.. Its here car...

I guess I could just get white mirror covers... Anyone got pics of a body colored roof w/ white stripes?
