It is also great to help hold the MINI on the Dyno ......

Wouldn't the car need to be held back, as most runs tend to be in third not reverse.

I have seen all these tow hooks in front, but none in the back . I would assume that the hole behind the knock-out is the same as the one in the front. I have my eye in the front and like it so much that I tried to order one for the back from Classic Mini. They say the back one is "definitely different.....comes primed". The one that comes with the car seems to be galvanized, which does make more sense for a tow hook. Anybody know anything more about this.

Shouldn't be any different front to back, I've tested how to install it on both ends just so when "JCW" hits the fan I know how to get to what I need to done. It's one hook that comes with the car and it fits in both ends, and you "should" have two when you go to the track.

Thanks everybody for the good information on this subject. I want to do the "tow hook" mod on my GP ... now I've just got to decide on color and such. At least I'll know how to put it on correctly, thanks to the good info here!
