carbon bonnet or seats...which saves more weight?

ey everyone

i've been thinking about installing a few CF pieces in my PS/B 2002 MC and i've decided to start either with the bonnet or seats. however, i have no idea which of the 2 options saves more weight.

after searching, i've learned that the stock bonnet weighs 18kgs & the stock sport seats 45lbs (each?).

so, which do you think will save more weight? i'm going for the most weight saving option first then go with the second after a month when payday arrives :D

not really, he's just listed the stock weights of both. If he was trying to cut weight by removing these altogether he would have answered his question but thats not what he's doing, he's replacing them with lighter weight components. I'd guess a lightweight set of buckets would cut more weight from the car than a CF bonneet would.

Seats by far. Stockies are heavier than crap. Especially if you go with a Sparco setup.

seats weigh a ton....the hood is pretty nominal...I say just put less gas (just keep a half tank) in your car and you'll more weight than just about any other mod....

i would go with the seats. CF hood weight savings are only 20lbs or something.

Get some 10lb racing seats. Lowest i have seen were 8lb racing seats and if the stock weighs 45lbs you get the idea of how much you save if you replace both.

btw, a tank of gas weighs about 78lbs, so leave it half full and you've got nearly 40lbs off right there!
