OK i know its a long shot

But i know i saw it out there someplace.
I was cruzing this site and saw a black and white checked
gear shift boot cover and i need to have one.

If anyone can help me re-locate it i would be very very greatful.

I would love one too. I found a website that does custom shift boots & sent them an email to see if a checkered one was possible. I will let you know what they say.

I got a reply from redline. I had told them I wanted black & white checks approx 1.5-2 inches square. They said:

Well, nobody makes leather like that, it would have to be made from individual pieces sewn together. With that many stitches (since the checks are small) the material would be extremely stiff and non-pliable. This can only be done if you get a synthetic material that has checks in it from the get-go. We can't do it for you I'm afraid.

 

....Alpena used to make them...not sure if this company is still around but you can find their products in most Auto Zones and Advanced Auto shops. This company was big when Fast and the Furious first came out a few years back.

The stuff at Redline looks very nice. I am happy with the shift boot that came on my Mini though. The only thing that would entice me to replce it is a checkered one

 

I got shift and e-brake boots from Redline a while back and though they aren't checkered, they look SO good. They are black and white four panels with double red stitching, as my car is a CR/Black and White Checkered Top. I'll have to take a picture of them tomorrow and post it here.

 

Apparently the one i liked was custom made for the person,

i have not had any luck getting final confirmation on if others could be made so i guess we wait
and i will keep ya posted

 

Here's the redline boot everyone. "Tomorrow" turned into several days and then several weeks. But here's the boot and my car. I told Maciek at Redline to design something that would look good with my car and this is what he came up with.
