Outmotoring light brackets?

Who has the outmotoring light brackets ?

Im seriously considerring adding some driving lights, and i like the location of the brackets

PLEASE post any pictures you have with these brackets. (preferably with 1 pair of lights, one on either side of the plate)

Any pics would be awesome though. More the better

also, which lights are you using with them?

these are them. Im thinking of 1 pair, either side of the license plate location

If you mean the LOWER brackets that attach to the rear bumper plate I've seen several sets installed and everyone says nothing but good things about them - very solid as they mount right to the metal behind the bumper, plenty of places for adjustment, etc. etc. etc.... You will have to make some small cuts in the lower grill though to accomodate most lights, but that should only be an issue if you care about what it looks like after the lights are removed, and installation will require you to remove the front bumper, but that's not too hard from everything I've heard. Once installed, the brackets are beefy enough t take even the largest PIAA lights without bounce I hear.

As I'm leasing, I decided on the bonnet-mounted brackets that he sells as well for my car, which is the better option if you care about having to make the cuts in the lower grill as I was...

i am in fact looking for more bigger/better pics of the lower ones..your car looks awesome, but I'm diggin' the lower mounted lights.

throw a couple big, 100w buggers on there, and watch the day time get chased down by my MINI

So, whos got the lower ones? and what lights do you have?

I've got them. In my gallery it shows my car with two Hella lights (500s, IIRC). I'm now running four lights with no bounce or issues.

The mounts are, as said, very heavy duty, solidly mounted, and sturdy. The one thing to watch for is that the light mounts are steel and screw into aluminum mounts on the bumper bar. If you don't get the light mounts started correctly, it's pretty easy for the steel threads on the light mounts to carve up the threads in the aluminum mount and mess them up.

Any pictures of how you do that? I love the look of the lights right there.

Do your upper lights bounce at all?

Did you use the factory bracket for the x1100?

Well if you want more light you could always go with four outmotoring brackets and Hella Black Magics;

Here is a car i did here in Detroit. Dan's car has four Out Motoring brackets with the outside ones set in the lower holes with 540 PIAA Fog Lights (5 1/4 " Dia), the center ones set high with 520 PIAA Driving Light (6 1/4" Dia). they are good brackets for adjustment and they are nice and solid. i have also used (and have installed on my car) the Alta light bar. it looks good and fills the space well, lots of light, but a bit less adjustment. i have also made custom brackets for about 18 bucks each. they started out as Sid's idea and you can see them on his car. they are nice and light weight and a bit more work to install, but the price is right. one thing that is very important in any light install is clean install. make sure wires have good connections and correct wire routing in very important. good luck

a little OT, but you're going to like Outmotorings's new keychain
that they include in your order along with the free decal.

Im starting to wonder if i may just fab up my own. Curious to see the brackets themselves.

If its a complicated looking bracket, i may look into those 18$ ones

Wow, thanks for the compliment I'm running the stock 55w bulbs and they seem to do the job quite nicely. BTW I did have an ALTA bar originally, but I couldnt fit 4 huge lights on it so it had to go

Do you by chance have a picture of those lights/brackets from above? I'm interested in fabing a set for myself, but would love a little more detail.

Thanks!
