I finally got in my set of Panasports - we are now selling these and I think the picture speaks for itself

Wheels!

They look just like the original "MiniLite" wheels that were so popular on the classic Minis in the sixties.

Looks yummy. What size are they? Are spacers needed?

I've seen 'em on a local Miata and I thought they looked just like the Minilites too.

Yes, Panasports are vintage style whels based off the original mini lites. These are 16x7 and do not need any spacers and fit fine - the offset is 35mm, so they do stick out just a tad, but I love em.

Azwed,
I think the comment your referring to was posted by one of our Euro friends. In the UK for example.... MINIs do not come with the side reflectors/lights by the front and rear wheels.
This is the best guess that I have.... Anyone else have an idea?

Your Panasports look like the 15" 8-spokes that you can order
with your Mini. I know the Panasports are bigger than the stock
8-spokes but they look pretty much identical and the offset is
made for the Mini. Did you consider the 15" 8-Spokes at all?

I can assure you that these do not look like the 15" 8-spokes - we have these OEM 8-spokes on one of our shop cars and they are much flatter and the spokes are much more different.

I am very happy with my Panasports - they speak "vintage" in volume.

Allow me to translate. I am English so I am aware of what this person is trying to say: What are the reflective strips that are found on the wheel arches? (we don't have them here) they then say: I would like some on mine but can never get them. Its not that hard to understand us lot on this side of the pond is it???

we dont have glove boxes either.

I've been over the pond a few times (5 total) and I've understood most English folks but I was unaware that you typed that way as well?

They do look a bit better than the stock 8-spokes. Can
you post a picture from the front or rear so we can see
how much they stick out? Do they come in different offset,
how about tire/wheel package.

Yes. I want a set. I'm thinking they would look great painted to match the body colour, with the outer rim polished. mmm....

What size tires are you running with these wheels?

Are these wheels lighter than the 17" run-flats? If so, do you know how much? Are they also available in 17"?
