Is there a DIY out there explaining how to remove the headlamp or can someone explain to me the best approach on removing it. I'm wanting to remove the ring and replace it with a painted one. Also, I have the powerwash. I've done a search on the forums but can't find a thing on it.

 

I just had my rings painted, my car is an '03 so I don't know if it's different for the later years, but on mine there are only 3 bolts that hold the assembly in the hood, one in the front and two in the back, unplug the harness and undo the nuts, push it up from the inside, with the other hand on the lens on the outside, and it comes right out.

 

if you have Xenons, first release the ballast from the bottom of the housing by using the T20 on the appropriate bolts. The ballast then swings away so you have access to the lower front nut. They undo the 2 nuts on the upper back of the assembly. Following the directions from Partsman. They are the same for all years, as I have put 2006 lights into my 03...same fitment, etc.
