Viper stripes... yes or no? If yes, what color?

Hi there! I'm going to place my order for my MCS tomorrow evening. YAY! I'm getting it pretty much loaded - Premium, Cold Weather and Sport Package. Anthracite surface - chrome line interior, Harmon Kardon, and English Panther Black Leather.

I flipped back and forth on exterior colors a bit before deciding on the Dark Silver with black roof and mirrors. I could use some opinions on what wheels to coordinate with that. I was thinking about the Anthracite R99s - but am wondering if that is too dull for this color scheme. If not these, what alternative.

Also... I am debating about aftermarket racing stripes. I like the Viper stripes I've seen on some cars. I was thinking about black ones or maybe the frost stripes... I dunno. Or maybe none at all? The car just seems so plain without -- but I don't want to overdo it either. How easy are they to take off if I don't like them? Anyway -- any thoughts or suggestions you all might have are very welcome.

Black roof? Black viper stripes front and back. Extend them to the roof in Dark Silver if you'd like.

I've seen a DS/B MINIwith light silver (mirror-like) stripes. It looks just awesome.

Thanks!

Since I'm going aftermarket I've got some time to think on it. I'll drive myself (and everyone else around me) nuts while I wait on my new baby to arrive. Thanks for all your comments!

Do you really think that's all the advice you're going to get?!

I saw a bee-yoo-tee-full Royal Grey MCS not too long ago that had black viper stripes outlined in red. Could look really nice on a DS/B car, too, especially with red mirror caps a la the new GP edition cars.

Or, you could go with the stealthy look of the ghost stripes and the anthracite wheels. That's especially great if you want to move your MINI as far away from the "cute" end of the spectrum as possible. Tint the windows, put some M7 or H-Sport springs on there, perhaps an aero kit front end or M7 Ultimate Grilles and you've got one very mean MINI.

And one that I would be envious of. I love my PW/B, but sometimes I wish I would have gone with the DS...

I agree on the stealth factor.. dark, black or carbon, stripes and dark gray or black rims.

I'd go with the new pseudo carbon stripes from AC.. only get them in viper format instead of stock format... I've got a sample of the carbon-like material and it look very, very good.

Seeing pics that people post is a great way to help you make up your mind, everyone has different tastes, IMO it's a Mini not a Viper

White Shelby stripes on mine.....bonnet & boot. If your roof is black, maybe black stripes with white edges. It's hard to "over-do" dark silver. I've done a number of things to brighten up my DS/DS as in my gallery.

Good lookin car Jahmills... They did a great job.

I can truely appreciate a clean car with no stripes.. In fact.. If I have time this weekend.. I may be stripping... (the stripes, that is).

I like the stripes in all your pics. Just got word that the car should be delivered to the dealer sometime next week. I've already got my new wheels (Motegi DV5, black) - and the black Aero grill... I have plans to paint the brake calipers... After those things are done, I'll see if stripes pull it all together or send it over the top. If I do go with stripes, they'll most likely be black - in keeping with the rest of the mods. I'm still happy to hear what you all think, though. HA! I feel like a kid at Christmas.
