The holder is an OEM product that you can get from your dealer or Outmotoring.

They look awesome!

I sure hope the ones I ordered last week show up soon. Can't keep driving around with a naked badge holder

I love the motoringbadges.com badges, but since the magnetic badge holder is an official MINI part, are there actually any official MINI badges to go on it??

I believe the only "official" MINI badge is the Motoring Hearts Badge...

I love the badges and can't wait to get my car so i can start pouring some money into goodies for it, probably starting with the badges. I was wondering if the badge holder is a simple install or if it's something that the dealer has to do? I've never been one to really alter my car physically on my own, but I do love to DIY as much as possible, and I think the relationship I will have with my MINI will be the beginning of more DIY with a vehicle.

Lament for the UKers

Posted on another MINI group I subscribe to:

"I dont think the 'move right' one works over here."

Looks like motoringbadges.com forgot about our friends across the pond.

hey batgirlwildcat,

those look cool, but the gas pump sticker wouldn't be very appropriate on my new JCW MCS. I've been on three road trips now and it clearly is not one to merely "sip" the fuel. It glugs down petro just as happily as the big boys! Guess that sticker is for the Coopers.

Wow. That looks great. You guys inspired me and last night I ordered the grille badge holder and some badges. INCLUDING the official MTTS:

I just hope it all comes in time for the event.

Those are awesome! Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for posting the pics. I've been wanting to add something to the grille but didn't want to do the whole bar action. Shopping time!!

It's a very simple install. The badge holder comes with two attached threaded posts that protrude through the slots in the grill. You just pop the bonnet, push the holder through the grill, slip the back plate over the threaded posts, and tighten up two nuts over the posts. My holder included clear and simple directions. Give it a shot yourself. I'm sure you'll be able to do it.

I love this forum. Just when I was thinking the magnetic grill badges was old news, I'm seeing a lot of folks who are just discovering them.

I hope Todd and Gabe get continued success with this for many years to come. Keep coming up with great designs.

So those are magnetic badges on that badge holder that you change out? Or are you putting them all on at the same time? I understand that MINI recommends no more than two grill badges as more can impede the airflow...

I got my Motoring Hearts badge in the mail yesterday, a nice surprise from MINI. I'm almost ashamed to admit that--prior to my seeing this thread--I didn't know what it was as it had been only two days since I took ownership of my Chili Red Cabrio!! Now I need to get the badge holder. Pardon my ignorance, but how is it fitted on the grill? Does it just snap on or is there more to it than that? I suspect I'll end up with the Motoring Hearts badge and maybe the MTTS badge, as I'm hoping to do the DC to NJ leg at least.

Thanks from a MINI newbie. Oh, and I'm over the moon about the Cabrio; couldn't be happier.

i only have one grill badge holder... i plan to swap out the magnetic badges as the mood suits me

the holder comes w/ two sets of mounting brackets- one for mounting on the upper grill (like my photo), and one for down low on the black plastic part-- (where most driving lights go) somewhere on NAM is a photo instruction set.

FYI- the "magnetic grill badge holder" part number is further up the thread and avail. at several MINI aftermarket shops...

hope that helps.

Oh and PS- the "motoringhearts" badge- is quite the honor, since you can't order those!
