Need some advice on gauges

So here are my plans... 2 Cravenspeed double-gauge 52mm pods holding boost, oil pressure, oil temp, and water temp. I'm looking for the most OEM looking gauges I can find - right now I'm considering the Autometer Ultralites. There are like 6 different variations of each 52mm Ultralite gauge that all look basically the same (http://www.autometer.com/). Any advice on choosing which one?

Also, I don't know what I don't know regarding installation. I will be having these installed at Helix, however, I want to purchase the right parts. I should be looking for electric full-sweep gauges, right? What else do I need to know to be an educated consumer?

Hi

I have the ultralites and the look great.

I made my own bracket to hold the gauges from aluminum flat plate

I used carbon fiber pods so they match my dash.

As for installation, you want to T off the oil pressure sending unit.

DO NOT let them drill a hole in the end of your oil filter cup.

Other than longer screws to mount the bracket to the back of the factory tach and the T fitting, the gauges should have about everything else you need.

Click on my signature links (image & text) to see my Ultralite boost gauge. I think I got it to match really good the stock gauges.

PM me if you have any questions.

yeah, the ultralights look pretty close to stock, ( see mine my gallery) but i still haven't found the right color lighting for them. once you get them in, you'll wonder how you got along without them

If you want something that matches the silver face/red lettering of the tach, check out www.speedhut.com. Pricey, but you can make custom faces in lots of colors. They have 2 1/16 gauges (52mm) that should fit the Craven pod.
