Interior/Exterior Euro parcel shelf....
If your garage door opener has a clip, a perfect place to clip it is under the toggle switches. About 4 inches deep you'll find a little plastic panel that you can delicately pop up and slide your clip right under. It works great for me!
Got my shelf from Classic at the same time I had my oil changed at 5000 while I was on a road trip to Cleveland.
We must be the only ones who had problems installing the shelf ... it was difficult to line up the screws to the holes. The right one still isn't in but the shelf fits solid anyway. We used the black ones.
The shelf looks superb ... JoeGreen also has an RSpeed silver and black stubby antenna, an organizer for the glove box, a tray in front of the gear shift under the console, and this weekend we're picking up the boot box so 'stuff' doesn't flop around back there.
I'm still contemplating performance mods ...

I've had my shelf for about one month and I like it. I use the left side for the garage door opener without it's rattling clip. And on the right side I find that I can wedge four CD cases just to the height of the steering column. This fits snugly so that the CDs don't fly around with hard driving.
I can remove the parcel shelf and put in the original very quickly- just a few minutes. You only need two mounting screws and I use the black ones with two blue plastic fasteners.
Here is a real dumb question. I have the Euro shelf on order with Classic and I was looking at the panel that will have to be removed under the steering wheel in order to install the Euro shelf. How do you remove this lower panel under the steering wheel? I am at a lose.
How do you remove the bottom of the original knee bolster. Mine seems very firmly attached and I do not want to force in fear of breaking the mounting points.
Also my '03 cooper seems to have 3 mounting points on the factory piece and my parcel shelf from Classic MINI onlly 2?? Helpful hints are appreciated!!

There are three clips in the back. The outer two are facing up if I remember and the middle one is facing down. You just have to pull at the right angle very hard. You're basically bending thick plastic hooks to get it out.
it kinda does feel like you're breaking it, but don't fear, no damage is done.. i just kinda went "aaaaaaaaah" and pulled it, and it came out well, sounded bad, but did no damage.
For the mounting pieces, do you mean the clips that go on the bottom? Two work equally as well, they just fit in the slot for bottom support. everything's nice and secure.. it's all OEM, so it's gotta be the right stuff.
