Interior/Exterior Pics of Indy Blue/Black Top?
Hey Gang,
I'm all over the map on color decisions. Can anybody steer me to links with pictures of an Indy Blue/Black top MCS? They're hard to find in person.
Thanks,
Craig

Especially with Indi Blue, my advice is to see the car in person; and in different lighting conditions. Don't know if anyone else has noticed this, or if it's just my eyes, but to me the IB looks very different in pictures than in person. It also looks different in bright versus low-level light conditions. I think it has a purplish tint to it on a cloudy day, but looks more royal blue in bright sunlight and in pictures. Often these dynamic colors are difficult to photograph accurately (not to mention the inaccuracy in the output of a computer monitor).
IB was on my final list of 3, along with BRG and JB. I know what you are going through, I spent 3 months convulsing over color! It's the most difficult choice in the whole process. It would be easier if there were some bad colors on the MINI, but there just aren't. Each week I called the three dealers within 50 miles of my home, checked what color cars they had for delivery, and drove to look at them when there was a color I needed to see. Painful, but for me it was necessary. In the end I chose Jet Black; looks stunning in all lighting, and saved me $400 (not that that really mattered). But the IB/B and BRG/B combos were close competitors, and all the dark colors look great with the chrome on the car.
If you really want pics, I have about a dozen IBs I collected while making my decision. Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send them to you. Plus I downloaded the German configurator and I'd be happy to configure your exact model/color/wheel combo and send you the outputs, if you're interested.
Best of luck to you,
James

i also think the indy blue changes color on the way the light hits, or the lack of light hits, but it is a cool color. i had a hard time picking indy blue or electric blue. good luck and in the end you have picked the correct one..... or you will live with it for a year or two and buy another one, or start a collection.

I agree - there are very few good pics that I have seen of this color combo, although I'll be getting mine in ABOUT 3 WEEKS  Phil

After living with Indie Blue for a year now I very much agree. Although I've never seen it look purple in some light. it is very light dependant and will look more navy on cloudy days. Overall I continue to be amazed at the depth of this color.
Personally I went with the traditional Indie and White as I'm a huge fan of the white roof look. But I know someone who has the indie/black combo and she seems very happy with it.
