Ok, the MINI is having some body work done, and a front aero bumper put on. I get a call today, and they say that the aero bumper wont fit my car?!! I ask them for specifics and they dont have a clue. All they said is that the parts on the car wont work with the aero bumper. Any ideas?

Uhh....bump? You can't tell me no one has swapped out their bumper for an aero bumper....

take it to another body shop, sounds like they have no clue wat they r lookin' at

 

I talked to not-so-rednwhitecooper and he said the same thing. He said the the body shop has no idea what they are doing.

Just sent to a PM of a source that installed a Cooper kit on his S. I just installed a bumper on my Cooper and the problem is with the fog lights. The have to be moved up with new holes drilled. That is the only modification that I know. http://www.gomotoring.com/pdf/aerodynamic-bodykit.pdf

 

yep, gotta move the fogs if you are putting the aero kit on a cooper...

 

these garage guys cant think outside the box and see what needs to get done.

Yep, I used a dremel to enlarge the holes in the bumper (metal part) to make the lights fit on my MC. It talks about that in the instructions.
