Has anyone done the Angel Eye parking Lamp install? How does it look? Was it easy? Disadvantages over the old lights? Thanks in advance!

Any more pictures of angel eye installs? Perhaps taken by a digital SLR? BTW, nice pics souldier08.

I didn't know you can have the Halos on with the headlights. For some reason I thought the Halos were only on if just parking lights were on. But now I see I'm wrong. I really like the look!

Anyone care to share there install process? Hard/easy? Come on somebodies got something to share!

Thanks in advance!

There's a lot in the link given above (over 300 posts in the thread). Here it is again:

Hey folks. Just finished installing them. Really like the look. Many folks say you can install them without removing the front bumper (Its really a cover).
I am sure it might be posible but I must say go ahead and remove it its easy. With the bumper off you can really center them well in the bumper. BTW its the lower screw thats a real pain. The link RKW posted has the removal instructions.
Total install took 25 mins minus the time figuring out the lower screw wasnt really accessable.

So, will the signal light still work inside the angel/halo ring, or is there any more the signal there?

Yes you plug the signal lamp just as it was in the orginal install.

Signal lamps

So I guess the angel lamp blinks when you put the turn signal on as opposed to the two-lamp config of the OEM lamp?

If you have your running lights on (Picture an illuminated Halo) that's all you see. When you turn on your turn signal you have an orange blinking light inside the halo.
The Angel Lights are actualy a 3 light config. 2 LED for the Halo and 1 Stanadard bulb for the turn signal.

Does anyone know what the control switch looks like for the Hella Optilux DRIVING lights, when installed as a seperate unit? I'm putting a set of these lights on my car in August (they're on order) and I'm considering upgrading the switch (which I hear is a bit cheap-o looking). The question I have is if the switch is a 3-position switch (Off/Ring/Full On) or simply a 2-position switch... ideally, I'd like to wire in the Hellas such that the "angel eyes" go on with my parking lights, but the main driving lights THEMSELVES are independently controlled via the switch.

Thanks!

I just finished installing them on my 02 MCS DS/W CK. I was afraid the bumper cover removal would be difficult, but there was no way I could get to the lower screw without doing it. Thanks to this forum I found instructions on how to take it off that were clear. It turned out to be really simple! Switching out the OEM light units for the angel eyes couldn't have been much easier once the bumper cover was off.
I think they look fantastic! I also upgraded to the silver "stealth" turn signal bulbs. FYI they are NOT included with the light unit even though the Moss catalogue pictures the halo Angel Eyes units with them. Now I can't wait for it to get dark so I can really try them them out. Since today is the first day of standard time I won't have to wait long .
Anyone thinking about giving this modification a try go ahead, it was easy. Even for me, and I hardly know which end of a screwdriver to hold.

I may do the parking lights as well... I'm on the fence personally. $90 for such a simple change seems a bit dear.

^^ your driving light angel eyes look good.

i think the diameter needs to be at leat 9-10cm or so to make them
look right.

I love 'em. Not inexpensive, but I really like the way they look. Silver turn bulbs finish the look. The halo effect is really cool at night. Although they are quite blue compaired to my other lights (non xenon). But it doesn't bother me. It might bother some other folks though. Next, OEM fog lights!

I hate to ask the dumb question but where are you getting these? I want a set but I did not see in this thread where you are buying them from (or am I just the big dumb animal everyone thinks I am?)
