Wood Grain Interior

I know there used to be wood grain covers for the dash, they only fit up to the '04s. I would love to get one for my '06 cabrio. Has anyone seen anything like this?

MINI makes a version for 05/06 models. I saw it displayed at my dealer (hanging on the wall). It is listed in the 2006 accessories catalog. MSRP is $435 for the wood dash. There is also a matching wood/leather steering wheel for $595.

Edit: In addition, MINI also offers a matching wood-trimmed shift ****! $115 manual or $125 auto

Yes, mdsbrain, like that. Are those catalog items for an '06 model?

rkw, I looked at the online accessories catalog. I can't find it. Where where where?

Sorry, I've seen a ray of light and am now impatient.

They are listed in the 2006 MINI Accessories Catalog (hardcopy), which you can pick up at the dealer. See also this. Note that you can order the parts at substantial savings through mail-order such as Classic MINI.

Right

litabelle what I showed you is a sweet online catalog for part #s and such for cars by their build dates. Realoem.com

Call Classic as rkw suggested and tell them what you want and you can get a price and such. The only problem though if you buy out of state is who will install it. Some dealers won't install/warrant what you didn't buy from them.

I'd imagine that most dealers would be okay with installing genuine MINI OEM parts. FWIW, my dealer (MINI of San Francisco) had no problem with installing the JCW steering wheel I purchased from Morristown MINI, but they said they would warrantee their labor but not the part itself. I think that's reasonable. If there had been some defect or it didn't fit, I was expecting to have to resolve it myself.

IMHO, ick. I don't like the look of wood on any car! I discovered that there is some wood in my MINI hiding. Wood is bad, ABS is good!
