Has anyone gotten and used the static cling vinyl sun roof flag offered by minicooperparts.com? Three things attract me to it - price, removable, sun blocking. But none of these are very good if it comes off while tooling down the road at 80+. I envision putting it on in Summer time or feeling a little sporty, taking it off in the Winter or when it might not be approriate. But if after 1 or 2 application/removals it stops clinging, that'd be a problem.

So anyone got one? What do you think of it?

I have one but I removed it after a week or two. You can't see out the sunroof at all and I got sick of seeing a Union Jack in place of the sun. It came off easier then it went on but I haven't tried reinstalling it again. Just make sure you're ready to block the view out the sunroof!

 

Sounds like a great idea. I was wondering how I was going to deal with the summer sun through the sunroof. Until they come up with a better rolling sunscreen option, this may be the ticket.

That was potentially one of the reasons I might be interested, and I'm sure MINI owners in FL, AZ, TX, etc , would be - sun blockage. But, as you mentioned, I don't want it all the time. I'd be interested to know about the application, and how successful a re-application was. Thanks for the info.
