Must be why I'm deaf... I keep turning the Harman Kardon radio up louder, lol. The deflector looks good, BTW.

I was worried about the install. It wasn't as easy as I thought it should be. Maybe I needed a paper template to show where the clips should go? It was straight forward enough, but I just couldn't get it to line up right.
I finally got it and took a small drive about 2 miles) but I'll have to get back to you about my thought with it driving.

All is well now and it looks good.

We had the mini deflector on our '05, it did indeed cut the noise level, but we would get a humming noise on the interstate, you had to close the sunroof slightly and then it was great, our only problem was when it was installed (at the dealer), evidently the sunroof chiped when we closed it and little pieces of the glass got down in our drain tubes , what a mess. Dealer fixed it but they had to take the whole top off in order to clear the tubes and after driving a loaner for 10 days, we just traded it in for a '06 that we liked better .

any worthy non-MINI wind deflector alternatives? $100 is just a bit steep for a plastic deflector IMHO.

I had Weathertech front window rain deflectors on my previous vehicle (Escape ) and was really pleased with their quality. I've been driving my MCS with roof fully open whenever possible for about 9 mos and it is very loud and very buffeting at Interstate speeds. I'll have to look into one of these. Really looks sharp. My only concern would be that if its easy to install, is it obviously easy to remove? Thanks for the link and the pics.

i'm in the same boat. I just find it hard to justify the MINI wind deflector.

I guess it call boils down to fitment and durability.

All you have to do is set the deflector where you want it take a marker and stick in the mounting holes ,where the screws go and and make a mark on each side. Set the deflector a side and mount your clips where the marks are. Very simple.

Any updates on how it's going?

The lower one does look great, and I'm wondering: does it protrude over the opening very much? I'm into quiet and all, but I'd hate to diminish the part of the opening within my field of vision.

I just removed the two pop-up deflectors and even though it buffets a bit more, overall the wind noise is much less - and I can see more of the sky.
