Chrome Interior Pieces

Are they just stick-ons over the current pieces, or do I have to take crap apart and whatnot?

anyone have this from MyMiniParts?

Those just stick on over your current pieces.

So then, how hard would it be to take off the factory chrome, and replace it with something else?

the factory parts are not stick ons...they are full replacements. They are all pretty easy to remove. You would just need parts to replace them.

I would shy away from stick on pieces....they bulk things up and often look cheap. The OEM parts are very cheap anyways

Actually ordering the chrome pieces from Classic MINI with discount is often cheaper than ordering aftermarket stick ons. I have both, the look almost the same and are of the same material. The aftermarket do just stick out a tiny bit further. If money wasnt a problem the metal pieces available on a few sites would be the quality way to go.

yah i have some of the metal pieces and some of the OEM.

The metal are far better IMO....but the price makes the OEM the best choice.

I have both stick-on and factory chrome too. Mostly as a matter of availability (there was no factory chrome in the early years). In some instances, I prefer the factory pieces, while in others I like the chrome plated metal stick-ons. It's really all a matter of personal choice now, as most pieces can be had in either factory or aftermarket stick-on form. Check out each before you drop your $$ on one you may not like.
