Plugging screw holes in door

Anybody know of a product that can plug the screw holes on the interior of the doors and not look tacky? To me it makes the doors look like something is missing. I have and 06 HB/MCS with the blue interior trim to match the hyper blue. Thanks!

They are standard plugs that can be purchased at the hardware store for a couple of dollars (or less). I found them in the section with the cabinet pulls and other trim fittings. See this thread for more information: http://www.mini2.com/forum/interior-...r-upgrade.html

Pretty cool...I am going to look into getting those. That has been one annoying thing everytime I get out of the MINI

Excellent! Just ordered them. Those holes have been driving me nuts (the whole 36 hours I've had my MINI!)

this was my 2nd mod (parcel shelf was the 1st). Really cleans up the interior. Just go to your local Lowes/Home depot. Real cheap, about $2 for 4 caps

I did this when I first got my MCS. It HAS to be one of the easiest, cheapest, simple-to-install, best bang for the 2 buck mod there is!!

FYI:

You can get black vinyl, rubber, and chrome ones at most hardware stores, Home Depot and Lowes. Some hardware stores have other colors, too - white, brown, etc. Look for them near the cabinet *****. They are called "hole plugs" and come in a variety of sizes. I used a 5/8" and a 11/16" since there are two different sized holes. You can usually get them for around $.50 each. On an '05, that's a whopping $2.00!!

Good luck!

I tried Home Depot, no luck at all. I'll try Lowes but if anyone has more info to tell the Home Depot/Lowes clerk, please let me know. TIA Michael

I found mine at Lowes in the screw/misc. hardware section drawers. There is a drawer for nylon hole cap.

When I asked the OSH clerk where "hole plugs" were, he told me they don't sell anything like that. So I asked where the cabinet hardware was. An aisle away, I found a display of ... guess what?? Hole plugs.

I'll check out my local Home Depot and see what department they have them in. I've seen them there before, but can't remember where.
