Mine is...it was difficult for the installer to get a perfect fit over them. I'm still going back to him for a fix/replacement.

I did and kind of wish I hadn't. The bra went on fine, but left a small area at the edge of the stripe that doesn't make contact with the body or the stripe. Also, the stripes are "shinier" where the bra covers them. I think I would have preferred the stripe over the top of the bra doing it all over again.

One more thing. If you want to replace the stripes it is impossible to remove them without destroying the bra of course. Heard of the stripes being removed from the bra, but not vise versa.

Points to be considered. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your perspective. I might just take the rocks chips as they come and touch them up. I don't want my bonnet looking weird with that bra on top of the stripes. My aero kit front apron is toast already after hitting a large cat while motoring through the countryside . I'm driving my MINI to northern Manitoba in a few weeks and I'm sure to get some rock damage to it, so I won't replace it until I get back.

will someone please tell me what the "Clear Bra" is? I've only ever seen leather/pleather bras, on cars that is.

thanks!

it's a "tape" so to speak. it covers mostly the front portion of the hood and the bumper. but you can also have them on your side mirriors, headlights, foglights, fenders. basically, it's an invisible layer to protect your paint without the side effects of your paint fading differently and no ugly leather front on it. go google search on "clear bra's" and you'll find plenty of info.

I've had my clearbra installed then I put the bonnet stripes... That way, you can change your bonnet stripes easily.

The clear bras on both of our cars are actually cut just around the stripes so that there's no overlap of any sort. This might be hard to do yourself, but if you're having the dealer install it, it shouldn't be a problem for them.
