M7 Grills and Ram Scoop

Anyone have experience on the M7 Ultimate Grills and their carbon fibre ram scoop?

I have a Purple Haze MCS on the boat over and was thinking of adding these on when it arrives.

I have the black M7 grills (full set) and the CF M7 Ram scoop on my '03 MCS. I like the M7 grills much better than the MINI Aero grills and the scoop is a work of art. I am still working on getting all the air gaps closed up with the new scoop and I had some hardware issues with the grilsl, but both are good products.

Thanks for the kind words ! I have not heard of hardware issues before and with the hope of keeping the product top notch would love to hear them either on here or PM. Thanks for the support

Randy, its not a big thing. The mounting hardware supplied with the upper grill doesn't work for some people. Here is an old thread that discussed it:

M7 Grill Install?

I went to Lowes and bought some longer bolts that were black and had the grill mounted in no time. Really looks sweet. I don't have any pix of mine yet, but yours works:

I have the M7 lower grills (front and back) and Carbon ram air scoop on my car and love the look of them. The lower grills require removal of front and rear bumper (covers) and a little bit of tinkering for proper installation. Also the exhaust heat shield under the rear bumper must be modified if you want the see through look...

The new Carbon scoop requires the use of the dremel as the plastic factory piece under the hood has to be modified before installation of the new scoop...

I have some old pics of the grill install in my gallery, no pics of the scoop though... do a search on the M7 scoop on the forum and you'll find installation & modification information...

I especially like the lower grills, get lots of compliments on them...

i have both... the CF scoop is a work of art as usual, the grilles are great if you dont live near the snow belt, as my M7 grilles, between the rocks and the salt, have started to eat away at the powdercoating of the lower grille.. unfortunately i dont even have the recipt for it anymore or i'd try to get a warranty claim on them.... still, they are a work of art! ive been planning to dabbing the spots of rust with some paint

i have the ulimate grilles also, they are a pain to get on but are worth it when done, they are also better than the aero grilles, they are not plastic.

I also had the M7 chrome grilles and they looked great but then I switched to aero kit and they didn't fit. The hood will fit but the lower ones will not. The middle piece was very snug and did not stay in place. Its still a great set of grilles which let in alot more air than the factory ones.

If you're interest, I will sell the set for $250 which were used only 1 month. Pm at surfsup98@yahoo.com.
