M7 Grill Install?

Have any of you had any problems installing the upper grill? The original grill has plastic nuts and they wont come off so most broke and the M7 grill brackets so far are not lining up good. Any experience?

the holes are a tight fit they will line up tho, the bolts that came w/the kit were to short for me so i got sum longer ones at Home chepo......they were not much longer, jus enough to get the hole on the grill to line up.

I found the best way was really with a little help from another person. One to hold the grill in place and hold the nut with a pair of needle nose pliers. And the second person to turn the screw.

It takes a bit of time. I would lay a towel or blanket over the engine, i dropped a bolt when doing this, and learned the hard way trying to find the darn thing.

The grills look great when done.

You are exactly right about the longer screws, I fought that thing for about 25 minutes and then decided to go by longer ones then it took me 5 minutes!!! No sense what so ever, do you have to take the whole front bumper off to install the middle grill?

Taken out of context, and it becomes quite funny.
