radar detector placement

this is how i installed my radar detector.. thought i would share. it wasnt too hard and it looks great (not a great angle) also, not exactly centered.. but too late now. you really cant see it from here, but the wire goes straight down thru the dash, ( i know.. i had to drill.. sorry) looks good tho.

i have it mounted on the glass near the dash and a tad closer to the
driverside.

Detectors should be mounted as high as possible, so mine is located flush against the headliner, to the right of my rear view mirror. I just took the visor clip that came with it and "modified" it so it clips onto the front edge of the headliner.

The laser detecting bump on the top of the unit probably won't work, but with laser you're pretty much dead by the time you detect it anyway.

Ran the power cable above the headliner over to the driver's A-pillar, then behind the trim all the way down to the fuse box.
