can i ask a question? (prob gonna get kained and ribbed for this) But when you say Euro Style wat do you mean by it? cuz a Modded motor looks like a Modded Motor to me? Smaller and wider wheels is all i can see between US, Brit/Euro Style?

This is a Pic of My Old Cooper BEFORE i sold it, Would you Consider this to be euro style?

hey, you dont have to worry about being ribbed....no one is here to make you feel bad or anything.

Do note though that the term euro is kinda goofy (as mentioned before). It is not meant to be used to describe all european modified cars. So terming them brit cars wouldnt necessarily work. Euro just happens to be what someone named it. It mainly means...very simple and subtle mods, super low, with small wide expensive wheels.

I would say you are sorta on the way towards euro, but not really...

Things that make me say not really:
Not slammed
Bright white accents (aggresively striped,window and wheels)
Wheels...17s and stock. Not much offset
Aero kit is very aggresive
Badges and logo decals still on

Now, don't take those as negative comments. I think your MINI looks AMAZING. The work you have put into it is very impressive, and it shows. Definitely a great car. It just might not fit into the box of "euro"...but who cares? Its a car that looks great and is modded the way you would like.

Just to try to give you some pics so that you can compare and contrast and maybe get a better grasp or atleast clear up some questions you have

Here is an example of a 'euro' styled car:



things to notice:
Small wide wheels.
-Nice and polised lips, silver centers
-Wide enough to poke out of the fender
-stretched tires
-three piece rims
Very subtle body work
-oem looking boser hood
-simplified front and rear bumper
-0 badges or stickers
-all monochromatic
-no radical bodykit or spoilers or anything
-shaved rear wiper
Suspension
-Very low..you can tell by looking at where the front lip comes close to the ground....barely any space there.

just giving an example...cause if you are anything like me, learning visually is the easiest way to work with things. Hopefully that helps a little

Cheers mate! i under stand now! tbh with any modded car i dont really go for one style or look just wat i think suits the car, cheers man its all clear now! (another question i can tick off lol!)

haha good to hear.

Like i said in this thread (or maybe it was another one of the euro threads)...

In my opinion, the best cars are cars that borrow traits from every single style or category to find what suits them and the owner. To me it's obvious that you did that and did it well

To S6Boy: A little bit off topic but I have been looking all over for the JCW side reaper and cant find them. If you could tell me where you got them or how to get them that would be great. Also nice ex-car.

technically there arent JCW grilles. They are standard MC grills with the JCW badge aopplied to them.

hey man! their Standard Side repeter Grilles Sprayed BRG and as i have the JCWRace tuning kit for the Cooper JCWGarage kindly supplyed me with the badges i think their only available from the Station House JCW Race garage in England but i dony know their different as they have two blots that screw in to the side repeter!

Note the tire vs. wheel sizes. You can see a 205/40 stretch on the front with the 8in width. You would get less stretch with either 215/40 or 205/45, as these have larger aspect ratios (taller sidewall heights).

what size rim/tire is this???

I just have to put in my .02

I think the shaved look is nice, but MINIs are about personalization. Maybe.. shave it, but make a design.. like a rose or a unicorn..

The Poke and stretch or tuck or whatever, that just looks dangerous and well, something one of those urban kids would do on their Minivan. You know, the ones who think "They gangsta" when they are driving their mother's car slammed to the ground and running 12s on all sides.

Summation:
Shaved = Good
Poke = Naughty
Tuck = Horrible
Stretch = Dear God no

fair enough....lots of people attribute it to "urban kids" or the likes. It just comes from a lack of knowledge about the euro scene. And that's ok.

not really poked or streched but TIGHTTT looking either way...

as far as euro.. I wish mine was cleaner. I kinda when the opposite way on te JDM side. kinda hard to switch back now but im slowly making my way

Attention to detail is everything. It may take longer to find the 'perfect' wheel or whatever you are looking for, but in the end it is completely worth it.

Very well said. The wheels i just purchased took me over a year, and still need a lot of work to make them the perfect fit
