A lot more into this car then meets the eye. Rear boser for the tail lights, sleepy boser upfront, I believe he shaved the engine bay. Very nice example of a cabrio.

All this kinda reminds me of a song...

"Black Jetta" by a band called I'm A Robot.

Looks nice, but how will you see out the back? If I don't have the rear wiper goin' I can't see anything after 10 minutes of driving!

Ummm.... Why you keep bustin my chops.... You must have me confused with someone else.
I am not the one that called it a POS.

I love the blue ride. I am an old vortex member and X-A3 body jetta owner (kamei / golf set-up and other goodies) as well and current pepper white s owner.

I think we are in the same realm of "taste"
Cept my MINI doesn't have stripes and is all white!

Yah....i'm a little confused too. I have talked to both of you at different times about the euro style, and you both seem to be on the same page and have the same taste??

FlyinHawaiin was the one who called it a POS

I guess I'm a little ****, but I wash my car a couple times a week and carry micro fiber towels and cleaner with me at all times. In two years, my last MINI's rear wiper was never used.

MINIs and GTIs can play nice. Here's a pic of my driveway (albeit about 8 months and a couple mods ago), my '02 MCS with the wife's '03 1.8T MkIV GTI. I'd love to do a Jetta front end swap on her car, but it's just a matter of time and $$. Great thread to see the similarities and differences between the two worlds.

Thanks! Long story short, their design was inspired by a tennis ball that had a slit cut into it, and looked like an angry face. Thought it would be a fun look to add to the front of the car.

I LOVE the Euro look on VW's, and I thought about how I could apply it to my MINI, but couldn't come up with a solution that suited me. Some have gone that route and they look well worth the time, effort and $$ put into them. I think I'll go a little Euro with the wife's VW, and go my own way the the MINI. Two hatches, two personalities in our driveway, but we both love our cars, and even trade back and forth on occasion.

Those light covers are hilarious!

I'm kinda liking the pop of color... I wonder what red covers would look like (sans angry face) w/ my all Pepper White scheme... It's time to fire-up photoshop!
