I am trying to get a few pics of euro tuned mini's. They just don't look like a shaved Dub, not that they should.
This is AC Schnitzer MCS

The GTI looks really hot in all the pics.

The silver one at the start of the thread is particularly good looking. I haven't done any Euro styling on Rex (I think the JCW wing, adjustable suspension and maybe m7 (?) diffuser would be next) although a slammed MINI would be very cool.

Personally not a fan of the whole "poking" thing. I don't think the tires should actually protrude farther then the fender flares or wells IMHO

I just got a new GTI DSG for several different reasons, and in forthcoming months will starr modding it. However, will be getting another Mini shortly. VWs are so far beyond on the Euro look, but like others stated above, both Minis and VWs are great cars, it is good to have a thread to that brings both worlds together.

oh, the other thing i noticed on here is the abundance of huge wings!! i hope everyone realizes a rear spoiler does nothing for a FWD car.. if you like the way it looks then that's fine, but IMO, they look awful.

things i'd like to do to my "s" eventually:

-change gas to to cooper door
-shave handles (maybe)
-lower
-euro arches
-match arches/factory aero kit or probably wait for a subtle "grown-up" kit like the european cars get
-m7 front diffuser (maybe)
-maybe remove the rear spoiler (i'm not sure i'm sold on the look either way yet)

i think it would look pretty clean and simple. whether thats euro or not i'm not sure.

there are other euro things that i don't think would look right on a mini. poke, eyebrows, (as mentioned above) and dtm tips. the bigger tips from aftermarket exhausts would fill the rear better.

Yes they do. FWD cars need adhesion at the rear as well. Ever watch touring car races? Their wings aren't for looks.

OT:
This car looks so angry...I noticed the same style of headlights on the new Camaro I saw at the auto show. The downward slant towards the middle mimics eyebrows and makes them look mad. Is this the new trend?

On the other hand, the MINI's large oval headlights give the car a happy, friendly look. it seems wide-eyed and eager to please.

I had a Jetta VR6 before my MINI. Very nice car! I don't do mods so I can't comment on that, I was just wondering about the angry-looking cars trend. My BF really likes the new VW GTI MK4, they're nice cars.

This car is just plain nasty.... he should name it like "The Great White" or something. It kinds of looks like a pissed off shark actually. Am I the only one that sees that?

Why do MCS' have chrome "indented" gas cap, and the cooper's have regular body color ones? Seems weird that they would make them different?

hahaha you guys are funny. it's called a "boser" hood. it's a custom sheetmetal hood extension welded on, filled, and painted. the headlights are not altered. although that white GTI has OEM HIDs from Germany which go for $1200. The real name for the custom hood is "boser blick" which means "bad boy" in german. It gives it that mean look. Someone should try it on a mini! Here are some other examples:
The Prime Ministah - voted best GTI 337/20th/GLI on VWVortex

Hi Tek's boser is VERY aggressive

I dont get it either. I dont really have an opinion either on this car, but someone please tell me why it is euro? It looks like a normal MINI to me.

I do like the boser hoods though, I like the angry sinister look it gives like a hat pulled down over the eyes.

The Euro look seems to be subjective. It doesn't fit the mini.
This mini with the small wheels sticking out reminds me more of a SoCal lowrider, it should have hydraulics. What makes that euro?

Just got word that our 5 door GTI is officially on order with VWoA. Now those H&R coilovers, Rial Nogaro',s and APR chip will have somewhere to live soon, other than in our garage!
