I am not a big fan of any mounts, but that looks really slick. Great job. Is that the standard RAZR belt holster thingee?

Looks like a simple slice and cut with the dremel! :-) Seriously interesting. I'm also very interested in your Smart - didn't realize that the hood came off like a snowmobile's - very intriguing!

The hood doesn't just come off. That was just to change a headlight. The engine is in the rear. All 3 cylinders of it.

I will be posting pics soon about the phone cradle / holder

Jeff,
Based on your sig, are you walking your dog because your right front wheel is bent and has a flat tire?

yeah, my wife doesn't like that picture either because of the large front wheel.
I had the guy at http://www.wickedcartoons.com customize the drawing to match my car and really like it.

Inspiring idea...

This is a really cool looking project, it makes me want to try to do something for my phone (Motorola E815).

I have a really strong magnet from an old ID tag when I worked in sales as a teenager. The name tag had two parts, one for the front and a magnet on the back to hold it in place on your shirt. If I could find a way to attach it to a phone holder (my phone didn't come with a holster), or maybe I could velcro it to the back of the phone. Add this to a shaved cupholder bar, and I'll have a cell phone refrigerator magnet that works.

The magnet is probably ok for the phone right? I mean, the speakerphone speaker on my phone collects tiny iron fillings. I do have a transflash card in my phone, that's not gonna get messed up right?
