Interior/Exterior Headlight rings

Headlight rings
Is it possible to remove the headlight rings and keep the headlights on? Or removing the headlights, removing the rings from the headlights and reinstalling the headlights without the rings?
Why I'm asking is because I want to be able to use my car when they are painting the rings around my headlight.

now the big question, body color or black , unless body color is black then it's a no brainer.

A few clips on the outside edge, you will see them when the headlight is off, they are small and there are about 3 of them.
you just have to go back and forth bewtween all the clips till they all are loose at the same time, then pull it off. The adhesive thats on it isnt that strong at all, so they usually just pull right off.

Do you think it's ok to drive without them for 2-3days? It's kinda rainy here, not much but still.
