aftermarket guage installs

hey whats up everybody, I was wanting to know what many of you did about adding guages to the car, i know that you can buy the many kits to intall them, but how creative did you guys get? or maybe just came up with a good idea to save yourself from having to fork over the money to buy a premanufactured guage pod etc. post your pics!
thanks guys

yea, and you'll have the most gauges smashed into your face god forbid you wreck the thing (kidding man, that looks awesome.)

THis is the autometer I just installed on Friday...with the gauge, new bulbs and angling rings it was ~$70. Took 7 hours to put in; the dash on an 05 is kinda tedious. The wire across the dash is my radar detector btw haha. Anyway, here are the pics:

The gauge sticks out to about the silver indentation in the dash. Fits very securely.

Malcon-

To be honest, i was worried too... It's cold here in the Northeast, but I went ahead and did it. To be honest, not that much of a difference, takes the car about 45 seconds to get a little warmer... For some its not worth it to sacrifice the vent, but I am a huge fan.. Oh, and further motivation: Chicks dig it... If you want to I could send you a video of it in action
