Heavy stainless steel E-brake handle

Do any vendors sell a heavy stainless steel E-brake handle?? I am looking for one that is equivalent to my Whalen shift ****. How many MINI owners would be interested if available or became available???

is there a reason for a heavy ebrake handle?

is it to make the ebrake feel clunky and uncontrolled just like a 3 pound shift ****?

I actually just searched aftermarket ebrake handles on the internet an hour for my own desires and FYI didnt see any stainless steel ones. Most were aluminum and chrome. I have my choices narrowed down to 5 or 6, I am so indecisive. I'll keep my eyes open though, I'm not quite done shopping.

my twist

I will take some phots but here is what I did.

Being one that uses the E brake not ONLY for parking !

My Chili Red S with some red interior accents (down tubes) is now sporting a MOTORCYCLE Red & Black grip.

I took off the stock plastic thingy, cut out the end of the grip and slipped it on.

Looks good / feels good / works good

Just an option that I wanted to pass along

I just picked up a ebrake handle from rspeed on the bay. I took pictures yesterday and will show you how it looks with my whalen. It is chrome/satin finish. I will try to get pictures up real soon.

This one is Chromed Solid Brass wrapped in black leather. It's quite heavy and fits well. I would recommend however that you use a little epoxy inside to keep it from turning.

See HERE.

Cheers,
Jason.

Yeah, I had the same thought as Kenchan, epecially when next to a stock ****. It does match the Whalen though.

Your not the only one who thought that lol. Many of me friends have come to that conlusion when they first saw it! But it looks better when you see it in person. The photos show it a little brighter then it is.

Just picked up this one:

I found many but didnt know if they would really fit and the sellers didnt even know, but this one was listed for MCS and it fit my color scheme and style so its in the mail. It was described as being "made from massive alloy and high grade polished, no cheap overchromed plastic".

Looks like billet aluminum or steanless steal. But looks like a nice piece! I am liking my new handle! Just the darn this is as cold as the Whalen!

I've been very (ish) patiently waiting for a Whalen one to come out. I do believe its currrently in the "non priority/back burner" stage of production

That is not a very good standing.

Momo makes some that I like and considered but found out that there is no adapter yet for the MINI and no one knew if it would fit.

Sorry; I'm buried under a mountain of industrial machining jobs again.
Worked 15 hours already today, and I'm farther behind than I was yesterday ...

Not a lot of fun (compared to making shift *****!), but it pays for my machinery a lot better.

Gee I remember installing Hurst shifters back in the late 60's early 70's and I don't remember the shift lever as being made out of magnesium or aluminum. So who is really throwing around 3 pounds in a shift. Certainly not some one using a Whalen shift **** which only weighs 18 oz. - that would be 1 pound 2 oz. and besides Whalen offers the 6 speed shift pattern not four as your Hurst shifter **** does and I know how confusing numbers can be.

Do I have to bounce people out of this thread?!?! just messing. If there is a whalen ebrake handle going to be offered when he gets the time, I will get one pronto. The whalen shift **** is a work of art!

Hey saw this on ebay for $50, looks similar to the Rspeed handle but it is 1-piece solid aluminum, looks heavier and would match a Whalen pretty well:
