My "S" Cooper with new 2003 pedals.

Part numbers are
Gas Pedal #35 41 6 758 942

Clutch/ brake #35 20 6 758 751 you'll need two of these.

Total cost was around

$125.00.....Intstallation is extra but it was really easy to do yourself. Also do not let them sell you the adapter. Not needed unless you break the existing one while removing the gas pedal assembly. It only a $6.00 part. So get it to be safe and then return it. Some people have broke the tabs and needed a new one. Me, well I took my time and returned it.

My dealer looked up a new part number for the complete 2003 OEM pedal kit. You get brke, clutch, dead pedal insert, accelerator and bracket. I paid $120 plus sales tax. I also needed the bracket, I broke the old one taking it off. Mini says the bracket should always be changed when changing the accelerator pedal due to possible problems weakening the old one on removal. Have hour install, tops.

Well, I guess I forgot the important thing -- the part number for the kit. So here it is: 35-41-0-153-602.

I slid mine off and had no problem. I know the part only cost $6.00 but why spend it if the old one is fine? If you just use a flat screw driver and push the holding tab down and move it slowly it comes off fine. Or like Mr.Blue said just replace it if you rip it off and brake it. LOL

Nobull60,
I never said I was an ace mechanic. Add that to my poor eyesight and you can have problems from time to time. That said, the kit had all the parts included at one price. The dealer was not going to take back pieces I didn't need, like the dead pedal cover. Since I knew I had the bracket and the Mini instructions said to replace it anyway, I wasn't going to worry about breaking it on removal. When $6 becomes important in my life, I certainly won't be spending $120 on pedal covers that are pretty but add no real function in the first place.
