Exterior mirror tint?

The self dimming mirror in my Cooper S works like a charm But I wish the exterior mirrors were tinted. Getting tired of SUVs behind me blinding me everytime I check my outside mirrors. I've driven a couple of BMW that has a slight bluish tint on the mirrors. Heck, I've driven a early 90's Mazda Protege with blue tinted exterior mirrors.

I'm wondering if there's any product that you apply like the pre-cut clear bra.

If you're seeing cars behind you that are in your lane, your sidewiews aren't set correctly. Ideally, the sidewiew should reflect a vehicle as it overtakes you, and the vehicle should appear in your peripheral vision just before its reflection leaves the sideview. Practically eliminates blindspots when done properly.

Just a peeve of mine

Iwell there's a shop in japan that sell the tints in several colors..
Maybe you could get them tinted with blue in a tint shop.

i once saw some kind of rub on glass tint before, it's from the japanese, and they have blue, green and yellow. and thats all i can remember, can't find it ever since i saw it once in a chinese magazine. it maybe a easier solution for the side mirrors.

Yes! Most people set their side view mirrors improperly. If you rest your head against the driver side window and look in the sideview, you should just be able to see the rear quarter panel. On the passenger side you try to move your head the same distance that it was moved to set the driver side and then make the same adjustement to the passenger mirror.

Takes a little getting used to, but blind spots are minimized.
