Merry Christmas M7. Your Ultimate lower grille will be on my car shortly(Christmas present from my parents). It looks pretty nice...just need to cut out a hole for a tow hook. Maybe someday that front splitter will complement the grille.

With some of the new items we have in the works and the day to day chores of keeping the rest of the product line shipping we really do not have the time The reason our dealers can provide a group price to the end user is that we are able to cut our price to them as we are shipping a larger number of items at one shot. Easier for us , cheaper for you. I hope you understand and continue to support those dealers that are interested in putting together the group buys.
As a bit of update on the splitter, when i get back in CA on the 29th I will be strivig to get a final sign off on the prototype and get production started. From what I have seen so far I think it is going to look so good I might just have to go out and get a Aero front end myself Hopefully you will get a chance to agree with me shortly. Thats if for now . Santa is on the way I need to get to bed. Merry XMAS to all!

Thanks for taking the ime to explain your side Randy. Makes sense to me and I'll be waiting for one of your dealers to put a group buy together on the regular, non-aero, splitter

OK after staring at my mini for about an hour (with aerokit) I started to wonder why would we put a splitter on our aerokit? There is actually an incorporated version in it. that space in the middle of the aerokit where is slopes down funneling more air under the car thus increasing the air speed under the car and the air over the bonnet pushes the front down. I know this because I saw an expaniation on the web somewhere with a similiar design. I know a front splitter could help this but it wouldnt be the same as a standard one... aka a straight splitter.

aero kit has a very very very very little contribute to the aerodynamics, and I don't think the front splitter helps either. I just like the looks

Yeah, I actually noticed on Scuderiamini's ride that there is a small splitter incorporated into the aero kit bumper. There are two lips on each end that stick out a little bit and then the middle has that opening like you mentioned. I would think the splitter would be more effective if it followed the profile of the bumper, but it would have to be large like the race ones. The straight one is pretty pointless except for looking cool. Or a splitter that lengthened the one already built into the aero kit might be worthwhile.

There is always this option too....a modified aero kit to add more downforce by exaggerating the small splitters that are already incorporated into the bumper

Unfortunately, that one was a one off. It's not the same one that Autohaus Schäfer offer for sale. The one they now sell is much closer to the OEM kit. I even tried to get Klaus-Peter to sell me that one, but he wouldn't go for it

Copied from an email from Peter about 20 minutes ago "The first part will come out of the composite shop next Tuesday. It will be photographed and so on."

You know how these things work though so I won't count on anything to drool over on Tuesday....likely next week though I'd guess.
